The Different Types Of Wedding Favors
Friday, June 25th, 2010Wedding Favors provide couples with the means to dispose of their ‘indebtedness’ to the wedding participants who willingly underwent long rehearsals at the church, perhaps after traveling some distances from their homes. These participants include the bridal entourage, the best man, the relatives and intimate friends of the couple. These gifts are also meant to complement the excitement and happiness that should prevail especially during the festivities. A third purpose for distributing gifts is to let people keep some memorabilia of the occasion.
In order to fulfill the reasons for giving wedding favors, it has become a frequent practice to give away not just one, but two or three wedding favors. To heighten the congenial mood of the wedding party, food and candy keepsakes may be distributed to the guests.
Other wedding favors that serve as remembrances are the crystal figurines that have become a staple in most weddings. Additionally, the host may have individual photographs of the participants taken, autographed and framed to be given away as memorabilia. Even soaps, perfumes, compact mirrors and lighters are acceptable in many social circles. To give that personalized touch to the gifts, the names of the recipients may be embroidered or carved into them whenever possible.
