Choosing a wedding dress with style that fits you..

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

A bridal dress is a woman’s sole prerogative and once in a life time pleasure. She can fashion that exclusive dress in any one of the five source patterns of bridal dresses. Of these, while Mermaid and Column are more suitable for those with chiseled figures, the patterns Empire, Princess, and Ball Gown will suit the susceptibilities of most.

In the Empire style, the waistline starts from where the bust ends. The skirt flares forth from that point flowing over the body in a wavy style, covering the body in a beguiling way. The imperfections of the body are attractively covered in this pattern. Based upon the bust size, the bust can be made less or more prominent as required, by designing the neck and sleeves to bring out the desired effect.

The A-liner style, known as Princess, is more or less similar, with a flowing bottom and tighter top. It is a seamless style that gives the dress an elongated look, and gives the wearer a taller look. Underneath the flares of it, it does not matter much whether you have an hour glass figure or barrel figure. On a thinner frame, this pattern can be used to give the effect of all the necessary curves.

Money Saving Advice to use for Your Wedding

Friday, March 6th, 2009

With the way things are economically today you may be especially sensitive to the amount of money you plan to spend on your wedding. With some careful planning however you can still have the wedding you always dreamed about. “Thinking out the box” can result in a fabulous wedding at much lower cost than you may think. I will try and present some basic advice that you can use to get what you want at the price you want.

* Seriously reconsider if you want flower centerpieces. These are gorgeous but also high cost. Something such as a floating candle centerpiece can be done much cheaper and by using a nice container and putting some colored pebbles in the bottom you can have an exquisite centerpiece at a very reasonable cost. Head to the dollar store for great deals on containers.

* Design your own invitations. If you can operate your computer then you can design your own invitations. There are several low cost software packages that allow you to do this easily and the end product is very professional.

* Make your own minister. Your friend can get on the net and easily become a certified minister. Usually it just involves a small fee.

What to think of when hosting a bridal shower..

Monday, November 24th, 2008

There is no other special occasion that can be compared to a bridal shower; this type of event has that special “touch” that only a “girls event” can have, which creates the perfect premises for the perfect night for both the bride-to-be and her guests.

If you’re the one hosting the whole event, you may be wondering what you should go for ? Well, the first thing to do is choose a theme for your event, because even the invitations should be according to it. There are many ideas available, you can go for a spa party, pajama party or a pizza party spoiler. If your girls are fun and open minded, you can even go for a “girls night out” kind of party, but this limits the possibilities that classical kind of parties offered.

The next step to be taken is to design the invitations to match the theme and send them out at least six weeks before the actual event. Then you should start thinking about the decorations and everything, so that you have them prepared at least 2 weeks before that evening.
