Planning a wedding can be a very time consuming and difficult task, especially if you work for a living. Having to juggle work and the details that go into planning a wedding is just about enough to drive anyone crazy. By the time the big day comes along, you are drained, often physically and mentally. That is why the honeymoon is so important. Here are a few honeymoon tips to help you get it started right.
Sometimes, waiting can be hard to do, especially when you have worked really hard towards a goal for a long time. All the caterers and decisions like wedding favors and unique wedding favors, all the people you have just conversed with, and all the hard work you have done and supervised is behind you now. After planning a wedding for a year, it feels like miller time with a capital “M.” However, you may want to consider waiting a few days before you venture into the great unknown for things to settle back down. It would be much better on you emotionally and physically to actually get some much-needed rest before traveling for any length or distance.

Don’t Forget to Breathe The big day is coming faster than you can prepare for it and you are so stressed out you could light a match…just by looking at it. Pre-wedding stress can be a royal pain in the wallet as well as the heart and there is no worry worse than one that involves money. You have planned a wonderful wedding and reception but more things have seemingly gone wrong than right. You have heard that wedding planning is supposed to be fun but by now, that is just a vague rumor and you know the truth. If this sounds familiar and you are still planning your wedding…, STOP! Do not forget to breathe.
Choosing Your State of Mind Wedding stress is natural and is sometimes hard to deal with. It is also fun and a wonderful experience. Which one of these you get the most out of is completely up to you. If you are in a frenzied, ready to pull your hair out and then start on someone else, very stressed out mode and you are just weeks from the big day it is time for a breather because this kind of state is the last frame of mind that you want to be in going into your wedding day. It is okay to let someone else take the reins for a little bit while you gain your composure. Pass smaller but important tasks, like choosing wedding favors, especially unique wedding favors, on to someone you trust. You do not have to do everything yourself.

Don’t you wish that picking out a caterer were as easy as choosing wine wedding favors or silver wedding favors? Well, wish in one hand, pour catsup in the other, and see which one fills up first. Hiring the right caterer for your budget could be the most difficult task you will do when planning, and putting together your perfect wedding and reception.
Be prepared to spend some time on this. You will have to interview several caterers in each area of service that you need catered. If you go with the very first caterer that throws a good number at you, odds are you will regret it when it is too late to change it. Speak to several and find one that not only stands out from the rest, find the one that you actually like and feel you would have probably called friend in other circumstances. Make a list of everything that you are expecting of a caterer and don’t back down too easily if one or more of your points can’t be met to your satisfaction. It is also important to listen. You may be making an unreasonable request without realizing it.

Celebrating the most important day of your life in an outdoor wedding and reception affords you with opportunities an indoor wedding cannot, especially if you have a beautiful garden. With a little hard work and some help from Mother Nature, your wedding can be as beautiful as the one in your dreams. Here are a few tips to make it even more so and help you on you way to an unforgettable event.
One option is to have your wedding ceremony in the evening so your guests can enjoy the beauty a garden flower affords and with the reception held in the oncoming dusk, you have an opportunity to show off your favorite parts of the flower garden with lighting. Strings of white lights hung in smaller trees and shrubbery add luster to the affair and solar panel stake lights can light the way down pathways to help you navigate your guests to food or dance areas. Have ushers in attendance to help older guests to the bathroom and back to their seats.

When planning a wedding, there are a couple of things that have to be done first in order to ensure that you will never have to backtrack. There is nothing worse than having to change plans that have already been made or negotiated when you are planning a wedding because you forgot one or more of these first five steps.
The All Important List The very first thing that you have to do is make a list of what you want from your wedding. Do not believe for a second that it is the only one you will make. Your very first list will be a generalization of what you want. As you go along, your goals will become more refined and you will have to remake your list. You will also find that the main components of your first list will need a list of their very own so if you grabbed one sheet of paper, wad it up, and grab a big notebook instead. Better yet, if you do not have one already, invest in a laptop computer.

If you’re about to get married, your big day occupies most of your thoughts. No matter how hard to try to think about other topics, little else can truly hold your attention. After all, you’re going to be the center of attention throughout the entire event. That’s a little bit nerve wracking. Another reason your nuptials consume so much of your time, energy, and attention is that there are so many details to oversee and never enough time for them all. From the moment you say yes to the ring, you’re behind schedule. Experts will say a year is minimal for planning a wedding. But talk to any harried bride-to-be and she’ll tell you that there’s never enough time-no matter how much time you have!
As soon as you don that engagement ring, you begin making decisions and plans. There are attendants to secure and dates to set. Invitations must be selected and ordered well in advance. There are decisions to be made regarding style and theme. There are aisles of gowns to try on before you find “the one.” There are gifts to pick out and registries to fill. You also have to haggle with your fianc about which officiate will perform the ceremony. And if that doesn’t dissolve the two of you into a knock-down-drag-out feud, then you can start planning a honeymoon.

Chances are that if you are having a big wedding you are going to have a very diverse age group representing several generations of your families. This means that no matter what type of music you chose, someone is going to be left out or possibly even insulted should you have an acid rock or rap wedding. It is not like picking out the wedding favors where is does not matter to any age group whether they receive golf wedding favors or beach wedding favors. There is an old saying you can’t please all the people all the time and that holds particularly true when picking out the music for your wedding. There are things you can do, however, to minimize the damage. Here are a few ideas that might make your musical montage more palatable for everyone.

Imagine that you were going to get married. What would be, in your mind, the perfect place for such an occasion to take place? For many people asked this very question, the first thing that pops in their mind is a church. Occasionally some people answer with a location that is considered to be romantic, yet some think it is unorthodox. The location in which they think of is a beach. Think about it, how many times can you say that you have attended a wedding on a beach? Not very often is it?
The location of a beach causes other questions to arise as well. It often leaves people wondering to themselves what some ideas for beach wedding favors are, as well as if they should also invest in some summer wedding favors to go along with the theme. Both themes pretty much coincide together because when one thinks of a beach, they generally think of the summertime as well. The trick is to find things which actually fit with the surroundings.

Rehearsal for your big wedding day is not only important, it is vital. That is why they made it a rehearsal dinner, to entice everyone to attend. There is so much more to do than just showing, walking down the aisle, and getting hitched. There is always a lot going on behind the scenes that needs everyone’s complete attention.
This is particularly true if there are children involved in your ceremony. The flower girl and the ring bearer are traditional children’s roles. They have such a short attention span already that they could become distracted very easily and forget what they are supposed to do. It is very important that you spend extra time with them and stress their roles. Also important, make sure someone knows to take them to the bathroom just before the wedding starts. Leave enough time so the bride is not standing around waiting for a child who is still in the restroom goofing off.
Children aside, if the adults have never been in a wedding, as many of us have not, they will not want to go through this without some idea of where to be when the bullets start to fly. Each person will have a mark and will want to know where they need to be.

There is one kind of wedding for which you cannot plan. It is one of the most memorable kinds of weddings you cannot plan and also one of the most beautiful. What kind of wedding am I writing about? Unless you have a crystal ball or know how to manipulate Mother Nature, you cannot plan for a rainy day wedding. However, if you are planning an outdoor wedding, it is always a good idea to be ready for any contingency. You will want to make sure that you have an alternate indoor plan or set up enough tent space to cover all of your guests. Everyone who attends an outdoor, rainy day wedding will remember and appreciate it for the rest of their lives; especially of it is done right. Mementos like spring wedding favors and garden wedding favors add to the memory that your guests will carry home with them.
