The Pulse of Your Wedding

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

Rehearsal for your big wedding day is not only important, it is vital. That is why they made it a rehearsal dinner, to entice everyone to attend. There is so much more to do than just showing, walking down the aisle, and getting hitched. There is always a lot going on behind the scenes that needs everyone’s complete attention.

This is particularly true if there are children involved in your ceremony. The flower girl and the ring bearer are traditional children’s roles. They have such a short attention span already that they could become distracted very easily and forget what they are supposed to do. It is very important that you spend extra time with them and stress their roles. Also important, make sure someone knows to take them to the bathroom just before the wedding starts. Leave enough time so the bride is not standing around waiting for a child who is still in the restroom goofing off.

Children aside, if the adults have never been in a wedding, as many of us have not, they will not want to go through this without some idea of where to be when the bullets start to fly. Each person will have a mark and will want to know where they need to be.
