With the baptism or christening being the first of many important spiritual ceremonies in a child’s life, many parents choose to continue the celebration with family and friends to continue sharing in the joy of this occasion. Normally this extended celebration has the guests gathering at either the home of the parents or the grandparents to rejoice together.
To thank guests for their attendance, the host of the party may provide christening favors for them to enjoy and remember this special day. Here are some ideas if you are planning a baptism or christening party for your special child:
The Cross. Being the universal symbol of love and purity, this is a very fitting theme to incorporate into your theme for baptism or christening favors. Your guests will be touched by the sentiment and contentment it brings them not only on the day of the baptism, but also for years to come. When contemplating the gifts you wish to hand out to your guests you can keep in mind such things as bookmarks, picture frames or any other item portraying the spiritual implications of this beautiful celebration. The cross may also be used to enhance the theme of your party when you choose invitations, linens and other religious items which will portray this beautiful image of God and His eternal love for mankind.

For many couples their idea of a personal wedding favor is one that is not only a reminder of their wedding bit one that includes their names and details of the date and place. Not only will they feel a little bit special but your wedding guests will go away with a personal reminder of the day and they will be able to recall it more easily even five years from now.
For the wedding couple this is the best type of wedding favor they could give; knowing that whenever it is viewed, the person will remember the day exactly. You will want your wedding guests to remember your wedding so this article can provide information that can help with arranging the personalized wedding favors if nothing else.
Just like the wedding dress, wedding flowers, wedding caterers and venue etc. Often it is possible to have stock items personalized but this should not make you delay placing the order as they may have a number of weddings to arrange favors for and you do not want to be let down at the last minute. When this happens you can have your wedding favors delivered within a few days to what could be many weeks so you have to ask yourself if is worth the worry of not knowing if they will be delivered on time.

Rooted in ancient traditions, the so-called “money dance” has become a staple of most contemporary weddings. The joy of a wedding can often only be expressed through song and dance. The union of two people, in love, is one of the few wondrous celebrations we can ever hope to enjoy. It stands to reason, therefore, that such a joining should be sealed not only with a kiss, but also with jolly dancing.
At the behest of the best man or the master of ceremonies, the revelry subsides and the money dance is announced. Guests are typically invited to either offer cash gifts in return for a dance or simply hand over envelopes full of money. This money traditionally goes towards the costs of establishing a new household for the newlyweds. As it is often said, the best gift is cash.
In some countries, the gift money is given to the best man to keepsake until the conclusion of the festivities. The tradition varies from region to region and country to county. Some traditions insist the gift money must be pinned to the bride’s gown or to her veil, while in other traditions it is simply handed to her in an envelope. Some families insist the bride puts the money into a specially designed apron or purse.

It is a depressing situation. An average trip to the mailbox — or the front step, where the mail is shoved through a slot and piles on the floor — will yield: unwanted bills, magazine offers, or generic coupon booklets. Once in a blue moon, though, you might actually get a letter from an actual human being. Or, better yet, you may receive an invitation from someone who thinks you are swell enough to invite to a shindig.
The pile of depressing mail on the one hand or a finely printed invitation on the other, the choice seems easy to make. It is all paper, to be sure, but oh, what paper, especially if you happen to receive a letterpress correspondence. Not to be confused with a greeting card, a letterpress invitation or forget-me-not or save-the-date is a richly crafted affair.
For centuries, the letterpress has printed invitations for royalty, nobility and the wealthy. Deeply rooted in the history of modern printing, the press itself is relatively the same piece of machinery Gutenberg used almost 600 years ago. Now that it is the cutting edge of hip design, consumers are welcome to use computer-generated processes to let their imagination run wild.
