Planning on getting married in 2010? A new year means new concepts for wedding favors . This year promises to be full of both traditional and non-traditional weddings, and ideas for wedding favors will be needed for both types. Knowing what’s in style before you organize your wedding can help you choose the right favors for your wedding.
For your wedding, you want something tasteful, no doubt. Wedding box favors provide beautiful items to place on your reception tables. Choose from any color box and ribbon for a favor that is sure to match your color scheme. Surprise your guests with contents of rice, birdseed, or candy.
Remember the day – personalize oil, wine, and vinegar bottles with your anniversary date. It is a great way to ensure that your guests have a keepsake and never forget your anniversary! These gifts also make useful wedding favors for your guests.
If drinking is sure to be a part of your wedding reception, make sure your guests do not go home without their own individual shot glasses. Small and conveniently priced, shot glasses make great keepsake wedding favors.

When most people get engaged they are overcome with happiness and a sense of well being and why not? They have found the person that makes them happy, someone they have chosen to spend the rest of their life with. Although this is a very happy time, eventually you must start planning your wedding. But what should you tackle first? Where do you start?
The first thing you probably want to do is tell the people closest to you. You can do this in a number of ways. If possible the parents should be told in person. Once both sets of parents know of the engagement you can think about telling everyone else. You can do several things including having an engagement party, sending out traditional engagement announcements, announcing your engagement in the local newspaper or creating a wedding website.
The next thing you should think about is the guest list. Not just who might come but coming up with a final guest list rather quickly. It is important to have a finished guest list as soon as possible because it affects many areas of wedding planning. The amount of guests will affect the overall cost, the size of the ceremony and the reception and who gets notification of your engagement.

Many people think that they have to spend a fortune on their wedding decorating, but this is not necessarily the case. It is possible to have your wedding decorating completed at a fairly low cost.
If you shop in other types of stores you are going to pay less money for your wedding decorations, and of course, you are going to have unique decorations knowing that no-one else will have exactly the same as you. The money you save on wedding decorating can be put towards an extra special honeymoon, or can be spent on other parts of your wedding.
One good example of this is to use Christmas decorations. After the season is over, almost every shop will be selling off their unsold stock at half price or even less. Any end of season clearance will have plenty of choice of suitable decorations at low costs – you just need to plan the right time to hit the stores.
Here are a few ideas for you;

Initially, when I was thinking what I should say in my speech, I came up with some really mad ideas! Luckily, I didn’t just go with my initial thoughts, as that would have been a huge mistake. I needed quite a lot of help to begin with, to really understand Groom speeches and what needs to be included to create a successful.
The best Groom speeches always seem to make sure that they don’t leave anyone out, from the youngest guest to the oldest. Making people feel important is a winning tip. It took me a long time to realise this, but basically it’s about keeping everyone happy to ensure your Wedding Day goes perfectly!
Who to Thank? When I wrote my speech, I made sure that I thanked all the key people who had helped me in my life. Whether that was my lovely Bride, my Best Man, friends, colleagues, teachers – I made sure to thank them all. This also should include the Father of the Bride as he will usually have something to say about you, so it pays to have something positive to say about him too. Make a point to thank him personally, before carrying on with the rest of the speech.

Whether you prepare in advance on having a Maryland wedding, a Washington DC wedding, or a Virginia wedding, the instructions are always the same: make sure to book your chapel first before anything else. Chapels are as usual categorized as small-capacity or large-capacity and so you should decide whether you will have a small Maryland wedding, a large Washington DC wedding, or a moderately-sized Virginia wedding.
There are abundant websites specializing on Maryland weddings, Washington DC weddings, and Virginia weddings, among others, and these websites are so user-friendly that a bride-to-be will feel just right at ease looking at the many possibilities of a Maryland wedding, Washington DC wedding or Virginia wedding.
There are also matrimony coordinators who specialize in Maryland weddings, Washington DC weddings or Virginia weddings, and they are usually allied with each other. These wedding organizers usually belong to a network of professionals and they will know everything many things there is to know about any of these weddings.
Of course whether you admit a DC wedding, Maryland wedding or Virginia wedding, of essential consideration will always be the budget. Make sure that the works the wedding coordinators offer fall perfectly entirely within your budget otherwise you might end up with a dream Maryland wedding, or a fantasy DC wedding, or a fabulous Virginia wedding, that you cant afford.

Planning a wedding can be a very stressful event but there are some aspects of planning a wedding which can be a great deal of fun. Selecting wedding favors can be one of the aspects which can be fun. Many brides and grooms may spend a great deal of time, energy and money planning on the location and the food for their wedding but they may not realize the wedding favors they give out can be a very important part of the wedding planning.
This is because the wedding favor is the one item the guests take home and will therefore be the one item which the guests remember for the rest of their lives. For as long as they have your wedding favor, it will serve as a reminder of your wedding day. Keeping this in mind you will want to select a wedding favor which is truly unique.
Books can make a really unique wedding favor. Most people do not think of giving books as wedding favors but they can make great wedding favors. If you are planning to hold your wedding on the beach or are simply planning to incorporate a beach theme into your wedding it makes sense to give out wedding favors which reflect the beach theme. This can really help to tie the theme of the wedding together and will serve as a great reminder of the wedding.
If you select a favor which is very closely related to the atmosphere of the wedding your guests are much more likely to remember your wedding well when they see your favor in their home. If you choose to give out favors which are not closely related to your theme, the favors will not likely trigger memories of your wedding for your guests. This article will provide some examples of favors which would be appropriate for a wedding with a beach related theme.
One great wedding favor idea which works well with a beach related theme is a gift of a votive candle in a holder designed to look like a beach pail. This really helps to convey the theme of the wedding and your guests are sure to remember your wedding fondly whenever they see the favor from your wedding. These types of favors can be very inexpensive but they are something your guests can really use and will serve as a great reminder of your wedding.

Believe it or not there are actually certain rules of etiquette which apply to the act of giving wedding favors at your wedding reception. Although many of these rules are not as rigid as other types of etiquette it is important to realize there are some generally accepted principles which are associated with the distribution of wedding favors.
These rules of etiquette include questions such as whether or not favors are necessary, whether or not favors should be given to children, how favors should be distributed and how much should be spent on wedding favors. This article will take a look at some of these rules of etiquette and will hopefully help the reader to understand a little more about the etiquette involved in giving wedding favors.
The question of whether or not wedding favors are necessary is certainly one question many couples have as they are planning their wedding day. The answer to this question is that wedding favors are not absolutely required but they are certainly expected. This means you do not have to give wedding favors but many of your guests will be expecting to receive one. Therefore not distributing favors is not recommended. This is because wedding favors are a way of thanking your guests for coming to your wedding and offering them a memento of the occasion.

When most people think of wedding favors they do not think it will be a substantial part of the wedding budget. This is largely because the unit price of each wedding favor is often quite low. However, it is important to remember that this price must be multiplied by the number of guests in attendance and this can really add up if there are a large number of guests at the wedding.
It can also add up quickly if the unit price is quite high. As example consider wedding favors with unit prices of $2 and $10. If you plan to have 500 guests at your wedding and give each one a $2 favor your budget for wedding favors will be the same as it would be if you plan to have a small wedding of only 100 people and give each of them a favor which costs $10.
In both cases you would need to have a budget of $1000 for wedding favors. From this example you can see why it is very important to consider both the unit price as well as the number of guests. Fortunately, whether you are having a large or a small wedding there are many wedding favors available for less than $1 which can help to keep the wedding favor budget low. This article will provide some ideas for wedding favors which typically cost less than $1.
