Disc Jockeys are often the first choice of brides when planning their wedding, but another consideration might be selecting a live band for wedding music instead. A band can add a whole other level of ambiance to a wedding or function versus a DJ playing pre-recorded music on a sound system.
Some go for a combo, where a DJ will play music for the dance party and will act as the MC for all announcements, but a live band starts things off. Some couples hire a jazz ensemble to play throughout cocktail hour and dinner. In this situation, the don’t necessarily take up a lot of space with equipment and the mood is set with real live music, which can’t be beat. At corporate events it’s not unusual to see a smooth jazz act begin the night and the DJ takes over later with current top 40 and popular dance favorites.
Live music is much more engaging than a sound system. There’s a synergy between the audience and the performer, where each one feeds off the mood and the result is sublime. A band can get a crowd moving with interactive fun, especially a rock act, with singalongs and can make guests feel as if they’re at a live concert.

Some people are unpleasant. As you plan your wedding, you will likely be faced with the unpleasant decision of choosing whom you will and will not invite to your wedding. This decision should not be made lightly. There are many factors to consider as you create your wedding invitation list.
Many people have a relative or two that they find irritating. As you decide if you should invite this person or not, consider first the feelings of those you care about. If your parents will be upset that you didn’t invite this person, it probably is easier to just do send the invitation to keep everyone happy. However, if no one will care, you can easily decide to leave an irritating relative off of your guest list. You may actually be doing them a favor. Many people don’t even care for weddings and would be relieved to discover that they did not need to attend yours.
You also need to consider the situation that inviting or not inviting a particular person will cause. If inviting a particular guest will cause a fight at your reception, it may be best to leave him or her off of the list. Think about the situation carefully and choose the best choice for your reception. If only planning a guest list was as easy as selecting your beautiful tungsten wedding bands!

One way to put your event above the rest is to use a live wedding band at your chosen venue. This can help to create the perfect atmosphere for your wedding or party and getting the music right is vital to setting the tone and mood for the day.
A major advantage of a live band is that it acts as a point of focus for your guests. Musicians can inject comedy and entertainment into the event. Not all guests may enjoy dancing, but everyone likes to watch a performance and be entertained. The band can inject energy and enthusiasm into things and provide something for everyone.
Another advantage is the sound quality of live music. It can cope with the acoustics of reception venues and usually sounds more professional. Professional musicians can tailor their sound to suit the event and can achieve a harmonious balance between not drowning out the conversation and maintaining audibility.

Hopefully, you already understand how important this selection is and how scrutinized it will be. Don’t kid yourself, when guys pick out a ring that doesn’t measure up, people will notice. Your potential brides’ friends and family will look at your ring selection as though it is some sort of reflection of you as a decision maker. This is one of the reasons that you really need to hit a “home run” when it comes time to pick out a ring.

Having a party? There are bands for hire in any part of the country. Find bands for hire and they’ll come to your function and provide the entertainment.
By hiring a live band, you’ll give your event an added edge. There’s nothing more fun and memorable than seeing your guests enjoy themselves dancing to the music. You’ll find that people not known to dance can’t help but get up and dance at least one when there is a live band.
With a live band, the mood of the moment can be changed as appropriate. When the crowd begins to get a bit exhuberant the band can play a few mellow tunes to cool it down a bit. If there’s a dull moment here and there, they can play something to supercharge the action and get it going again. With a band on stage, they can decide moment by moment whether they need to change their sets to match or change the mood.
The more experienced popular bands cost quite a bit more than others. You will be able to book a lesser known band that is also very professional for less. Know ahead of time what you are able to spend on your entertainment.

You’re probably looking at that calendar and thinking that you don’t have time at all to plan that wedding or party and get a live band. However, you will find that it’s not all that hard to book a band and that when you do, your event will be better than ever.
The first step is to figure out your budget. Some bands have already set prices, so you won’t have much of an option of how much you spend. Others charge by the hour, and some even make a deal with you on how much you’ll pay them. So, you see, there is some leniency in some of the routes you go with. Making a budget is not the difficult part. It’s staying within the budget that can make it tricky.
The other things with bands is that there are some that do all sorts of music. Look at what you need. If you are having a party of some sort, you might just need upbeat music to keep the party dancing. For other events such as weddings, you might need a combination of music. Some do their own music, some just sing music that has been done by others.
